Our 2024 Season Programs
Here’s what we have been up to:
Of Thee I Sing: American Heritage Through Song
March 20-22, 2024
Students experienced the Women’s Suffrage Movement brought to life through historical songs and images, costumes, and narratives! Students at Spirit Lake Elementary School and Spencer Middle School participated in this interactive program that reinforces both Academic Standards and Social-Emotional Learning Competencies through fun, interactive programming!
“Opera Explorers”
This past April, we returned for our third year to Spencer Fairview Elementary to present our Opera Explorers program to all of the first grade students.
This is an interactive program that teaches about the genre of opera through participating in an opera based on the Shoemaker and the Elves. Students join with a professional opera singer to put on this opera written just for them!

“Make A Musical”
This spring, we worked with the Spirit Lake Elementary School 3rd and 4th grade students in creating their very own musicals! Students brainstormed their plot, wrote a script, lyrics, and created melodies for each song.
Students performed their final shows in May at the SAMI Center for family and friends!

Summer Academy 2024
“Lights, Camera, Action!”
Summer Academy 2024 was a fantastic week of students ages 7-16 learning about the wonderful world of musical theatre!
Students sang, danced, and acted under professional instructors to learn musical theatre pieces they performed at the end of the week.
They designed and created set pieces, and the high school students wrote and performed their own show, all in a week!
